DC procurement data

A copy of the records on contracts.ocp.dc.gov, the website where DC's Office of Contracting and Procurement publishes contracts, purchase orders and payments, as we pulled them. About this source. Not a complete record of District contracting or spending.

Contracts coming up for renewal

Contracts DC's site lists, by when their current period ends. The site doesn't say whether a contract has options left, so for most the Options left column says "Not known".

What this covers, and why options are "Not known"

When a contract's period ends, the District has three choices: exercise the next option (an extra year, usually, that the contract already allows), re-bid the work, or extend the contract without bidding. Which is possible depends on whether options are left, and DC's site doesn't say: it lists an option period only after it is exercised, and has no field for how many the contract allows. So Options left is filled in only where we have read the contract's own paperwork; everywhere else it says "Not known".

Sorted by when the current period ends; click a heading to re-sort. The base-period amount is what the contract's first period authorises: a ceiling, not spending, and not the value of the renewal (why only base periods).
