DC procurement data

A copy of the records on contracts.ocp.dc.gov, the website where DC's Office of Contracting and Procurement publishes contracts, purchase orders and payments, as we pulled them. About this source. Not a complete record of District contracting or spending.

About this data

This is a selection, not everything. It is what the District's Contracts and Procurement Transparency Portal listed when we pulled it, weekly since August 2026. Records its search had stopped returning before then are not here, and a record it never published cannot be. Payments in particular often carry no contract number, or one DC's published contract list does not include, so the contracts here cover only part of what was paid. None of it can be checked against the District's own accounts; it is what DC's site shows.

Fields are shown as the District entered them. Nothing is classified or estimated. The one thing filled in is a short list of agency names published only as an abbreviation or a budget code, listed below with a source for each.

About the source: contracts.ocp.dc.gov

The Contracts and Procurement Transparency Portal (contracts.ocp.dc.gov) is the District's public site for its contracting records. In its own words, it "was created by the Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) … as a public clearinghouse for all information related to the District Government's contracting and procurement efforts." Anyone can search it; this site keeps a copy of three of its sections so they can be filtered, totalled and kept after the site drops them.

Section of contracts.ocp.dc.govHere?
ContractsYes: the contracts page, with each contract's attached documents
Purchase OrdersYes: the purchase orders page
PaymentsYes: the payments page
SolicitationsNo. They are archived with the rest of the data but not shown here.
ForecastNo
Independent AgenciesNo. This is its list of "Non OCP Agencies": ones "Subject to the Procurement Practices Reform Act of 2010 (PPRA) and Independent from the CPO's Authority", "Exempt from the PPRA and CPO's Authority", or with "Limited Applicability of the PPRA". The CPO is the Chief Procurement Officer, who heads OCP. Agencies on that list, such as the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and the Attorney General, contract outside OCP's authority, so the site's other sections may hold only part of their contracting, or none of it.
COVID-19 expenditure and contract filesNo

Agency names filled in

The value as published is kept beside the name shown in every table, as agency_as_published. Values with no source, such as ELC, are left as published. Abbreviations are never merged on their own: two different agencies publish as OPC.

What each column is

Columns ending in _text are exactly as published; the numbers and dates beside them are parsed from those.
